United Space Alliance Prepares for IMOC Transition

Work currently performed by United Space Alliance (USA) under NASA’s Integrated Mission Operations Contract (IMOC) will be completed on September 30, 2014. The work is scheduled to transition to a succeeding NASA contractor under the IMOC II effective October 1, 2014. While USA expects that the majority of incumbent USA employees will transition to the new succeeding IMOC contractor, USA cannot accurately predict how each incumbent employee will be individually affected by the contract transition. As a result, a 60-day Workers’ Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) layoff notice has been issued to all USA employees currently assigned to the IMOC contract (approximately 515 employees).

As USA works with the succeeding contractor and the transition activity progresses, USA anticipates employment offers will be extended to the majority of USA incumbent employees.
